Since Genesis Sample theme version 2.6.0, the secondary navigation menu was moved from just above the footer copyright/credit text line to just below it.
I prefer it above with the copyright as the last element on the page. Here is how you move it if you are using Genesis Sample 2.6+ or another child theme that is putting the secondary nav below the copyright or somewhere else such as just below the header.
Code editing disclaimer: It is recommended that you do not make code changes on a live production site that is receiving traffic. Make changes and test locally or on a staging site first. Make sure you can revert your changes if something goes wrong.
First, check for the following code in your functions.php file.
If it exists and the code looks almost identical, simply change the “10” to “5” on line 3.
If it does not already exist, or looks a little different, add or replace with the following.
Next, you will most likely need to make some CSS adjustments to improve the spacing between the menu and copyright text.
If using a recent version of the Genesis Sample theme, you might have the following in your style.css.
You can either modify your style.css file directly or overwrite it via Customizer > Additional CSS or wherever else you add your custom CSS to something like this.
